Indus Civilizations - Mohenjo-daro and Harrappa
Early Indus Valley civilizations were very well planned out. They had a grid systems and sewer systems. We believe they were farmers and traders. They had an early pictographic writing. This writing has been foundas far away as Mesopotamia, indicating that they were trading over far distances. It seems they were a peaceful people. These indigenous people left somewhat mysteriously. Possibly natural disaster.

The Great Wall was built for China’s protection.
Migratory invaders raided Chinese settlements from the north. Qin Shi Huangdi built the Great Wall as a line of defense against invasions.
This is the only man made structure to be seen from outerspace.

Chinese rulers were considered divine, but they served under a Mandate of Heaven only as long as their rule was just.
Rulers were considerd just until things like natural disasters or a political coup removed them. Then it was assumed they had lost the blessings of heaven. A new leader would emerge (violently or non violently) and would be assumed to have the blessings of heaven.
The Silk Road facilitated trade and contact between China and other cultures as far away as Rome. It was a series of roads that ran from Asia (China) to the Mediterrean Sea.
